Is GA and Religion (Christianity in particular) compatible or would that question be an inappropriate one in the sense that it shouldn’t be approached from that angle?

I would suggest Andrew Bartlett, who wrote the following book:

These essays are more implicitly than explicitly Christian, but you can see Bartlett trying to carve out a place. for Christian faith in GA.
