Don't know, but maybe the creation of conflict-free spaces--scientific, technological, economic modernity without political modernity. If they build it we'll see what the entertainment is like--maybe a kind of cultural neo-modernity as well. If they keep out the left it might be worth watching.

I don't know the shared sovereignty is supposed to work--I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere--but, while it will probably lead to some confusion,it's not necessarily leftism. The place seems to be conceived with no politics whatsoever involved. There's no mention of religion--they probably first of all want to keep out their own crazy clerics, but it may very well be that will be tightly controlled or even excluded. That's what will be interesting--to see how they deal with questions like that from the "old" world.
