NRx Unhappy Consciousness
I will just mention that my reason for linking to this is that it's the first attempt that I've seen by a "legitimate" academic (i.e., Brahmin) to deal with thinking beyond the "establishment" right on its own terms, at least to some extent. It's a hostile account, of course, and is best able to recognize Land as a fellow academic, but the hostility is muted and the piece, by a young and very prolific (and Chinese) academic philosopher, accepts the need to take the thinking seriously--to quote, paraphrase, identify traditions, etc.--rather than just try to denounce it more vociferously than his peers. It's a good sign if, as Moldbug says in the linked post, we need to engage and defeat the Brahmins on their own terrain.
