If the NatCons think that an alliance with Israel is in the interests of the US they would simply be making that case to younger RWers they're supporting and recruiting. "I know the ADL is a scorpion but that has nothing to do with the point and Israel can't do anything about
it anyway" is not an overly complex argument. And if they were doing this they would have mentioned it at the conference, so presumably they're not. This is one reason for thinking there's something else going on here. Still, all they seem to care about is that Jews not oppose
Vance, and since the few attendees at the conference can't do anything about that and I think a significant number of Jews have decided on the Vance question, in the end it's all probably inconsequential. It may just be checking a box so as to absolve themselves and accuse others
