It may be that Trump just blew "fusionism" or "Reaganism" away without there being any real scrutiny of it, so all the assumptions about markets and limited government now need to be addressed explicitly. It's too bad that "postliberalism" is equally irrelevant, but maybe it's
possible, if unlikely, that a more abstract formulation of "trumpism" might be articulated and propounded along the way. Even better would be some candidate who insists on pursuing the prosecution of the Russia collusion fraudsters, the 2020 election thieves and Democrat and
leftist criminality more generally, so that this vapid "theoretical" discussion gets marginalized by a thorough colonoscopy of the entire system. That might spark some interesting discussions of political principles. But it's much more likely that it comes down to whoever can
most believably and entertainingly claim to bring down the price of burittos, i.e., jerk the economy around a bit more effectively for a couple of years. It's up to the new sovereign companies now.
