With all the people (and there are a lot) saying that Iran is really about China I don't think I have seen anyone explain what, exactly, needs to happen in Iran to produce what desired effect upon China and how we would know that thing was happening.
@truepeers Ok so what result accomplishes this ?
@truepeers Maybe regime change but no one says that.
@truepeers Good questions but not pertinent to the China question
@truepeers If we accept the premise that Iran is about China, which I can, but, still, why is regime change rather than, say, regime weakening, crucial to whatever real or demonstrative effect is intended for China?
@truepeers I agree with you, of course, but I'm getting at something a little different, which is that those who step in precisely when such an argument is made to assert greater knowledge by citing "China" don't really explain why that citation is even needed to assess the war.
@Imperius__13 My question was, what is the relation between any of this and what actually happens with Iran?
@Imperius__13 You are now answering yet another question: what will be the results in Iran? Let me put it this way: what is added to one's analysis of possible results in Iran by bringing in China or anything else? Why not just say, here's what we should aim at in Iran--this would be success?
@Imperius__13 We can let it pass.
@Imperius__13 My question was simply about something else. If I didn't make it clear, I can live with that.
